Bad news. Seems Wolf Parade, who just came out with a pretty solid album,
Expo 86, are deciding to call it quits for awhile
. I don't know why, but when it took them that long to come out with 3 albums and with each member being a part of other projects such as Sunset Rubdown, Swan Lake, and the Handsome Furs, one couldn't help but wonder if it was difficult to give enough time and effort to Wolf Parade.
Oh my, hopefully they come back soon. Bands on hiatus are a funny thing. Sometimes it just marks the slow death of a band and sometimes they're back in no time. Hope for the latter.
I remember being 16 and hearing "Shine A Light" for the first time. What a day, what an album, what a soundtrack to being young. Enjoy.
